I know that right now I am being TOTALLY SPOILED with the amazing weather we’re enjoying in North Carolina. Tomorrow we’re expecting temperatures in the 80s with sunny skies.

Ahhhhhh…

It is precisely this time of year that my husband and I start listening to Jimmy Buffet, spending more time outdoors and reminding ourselves that we’re “solar powered.” Ha!

Even with a deployment coming up, I seriously can’t help but feel total excitement about life right now. Not sure what’s in the mix to make me feel this way, but something awesome is stirring inside me. Lately I’ve been getting up in the morning just pumped for the day.

When I watched a Crossfit Games video recently, I was so struck by Heather Bergeron, a female competitor, saying she gets such a thrill in the morning thinking about her day.

Things feel nearly perfect when your days are filled with these images:

Other than a little baby-induced sleep-deprived days, it has been hard to keep a smile off my face! Is it just me, or does spring give you a huge mental and emotional boost?

Because I get obsessed with commercials. (commercials?) Like this one.

It makes me want to hop in the car with my husband and go on a road trip! (sorry kids)

Counting down

Something very exciting happened recently and received zero fanfare. The day passed like any other, except Hannah and I had just come home from the hospital so all the days were blurring together. On July 17th, Click Clack Mom celebrated its first year online.

If you go back in my archives you will see that it is actually dated as far back as July 11. (That’s totally not true.) When I started my blog, I didn’t want people to arrive with just one post up, so I had a few and back-dated them. Scandalous.

It has been such a fun year, and I didn’t want this event to pass without expressing my gratitude to you, my lovely reader.

Since I love any excuse to throw a party, Click Clack Mom will be buzzing during the next four weeks. My plans will be revealed soon, so be sure to stay tuned. Whether you’ve been with me from the beginning, or you just discovered my site, I hope you all join in for the fun (and giveaways).
