We have been enjoying such a nice weekend! Tonight our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group offered babysitting to all the families, so my husband and I went on a hot date. (He pretty much hates that term!) We went out to dinner (yummy burger) and chatted at a coffee shop, like old times. It was heavenly!

I’m under strict orders NOT to stay up too late…So I’ll post some fun pics tomorrow.

This week marks the grand finale for the month of giveaways at Click Clack Mom! I am so pleased to share with you some of the artistic creations by Lynn Corey, talented New England artist. And she is also my fabulous Mother-in-Law!!

Lynn lives on the ocean in Rhode Island and creates beautiful works of art from treasures that are uncovered after storms. Her unique works contain rare pieces of sea glass that are hundreds of years old.

Lynn describes the unique properties of East Coast sea glass:

“No one can say for sure where a piece of sea glass originated; however, there are only two ways it could have ended up in the sea–force of nature, e.g. hurricane, Northeaster, sunken ship or hand of man, e.g. thrown overboard, bonfire, left on beach. What to me is so amazing is that every piece of sea glass has come full circle. It began as sand (silica), was made by man into glass, spent a lifetime as a household object, spent another lifetime as “flotsam/jetsam”, was transformed by saltwater into a jewel-like object, and completes the cycle back where it began on a sandy beach!”

She sells her pieces exclusively through design and antique stores. So she is allowing me to showcase a few of her pieces online! Here are some of my other favorites.
