Have You Seen These Two Recently?

Well I have been so jazzed to share my work-from-home secrets, I have been keeping the two most adorable kiddos from my great readers.  I know–how could I do this to you?!

His new "look" which is melting my heart!!

Surprise!!!

Dressed for church.

Hanging out in the nursery.

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season.  Jackson is TOTALLY INTO CHRISTMAS for the first time, so I would love to hear some great ideas for teaching kids about the meaning of Christmas.  What traditions do you have for Christmas?

You’d think by child #4 I’d have this thing down but my MIL pulled me aside the other day and asked why Ivy didn’t know the meaning of Christmas! She apparently thought we would be celebrating HER birthday instead of baby Jesus LOL. Did you see this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kWq60oyrHVQ
I had the kids watch it- I thought it was super cute told by children. We usually have a nativity out to help with the story and read books, etc. I guess I need to do a better job! :)

Thanks so much for your comment, Steph! Thank you for the video link! There are a few different things going on with Christmas that it’s hard to explain it all and for them to make sense! You have the birth of Jesus, Santa Claus spanning the globe, elves working, snowmen dancing! Yes–we have a lot of explaining to do:D

Hey Amy, can you believe how this Christmas came so quickly? Well that was just by the way. Why don’t you explain Christmas based on the very reason why is it celebrated in the first place, JESUS CHRIST. I honestly believe HE is the only valid explanation to the occasion and no matter what we may be going through, placing JESUS at the right place in our lives always results in us being comforted and restored.

Have a great Christmas with your family and stay blessed.
