Sunday night my friend Kristine, who I used to teach Kindergarten with, brought her son to visit Jackson and I for a night. Being with an old friend was so good for my spirits. We stayed up much past Kristine’s bed time (I am the night owl) and gabbed until we couldn’t keep our eyes open any longer.
Jackson was still under the weather, but he enjoyed seeing his friend, Connor, who is only a month younger. Here they are:
The next day, I caught up with Mandy while getting pedicures (yessss!!!!!). We only met this year, but I feel like I have known her forever. She is such a strong woman who inspires me daily.
So, a terrific way to start the week. And I was even able to do some shopping at Once Upon a Child. Am I ready for my little girl or what?!!

I had no idea picking out dresses would be this fun!!
It is amazing to me how much some good “girl talk” can put me into the best mood–for days!! Do you guys agree? Do you need that connection, too?

We went to L’Amour Nails, which is right next to Once Upon a Child and Ulta. It’s terrific and peaceful and $30 for a pedi. Not bad!
