Bloggy Makeover!

OH–I JUST LOVE COMING TO MY NEW SITE!! It’s as if I bought a new home and filled it with beautiful things. Every single thing on my site makes me giddy. Have you noticed the comments in the coffee mug? Or the snazzy new header? Or the delicious swirly things everywhere??

This fantastic makeover was done by Cathy Tibbles at Desperately Seeking Wordpress. If you are considering a blog design, I highly recommend her because…

1. She worked on my blog until it was perfect.

I’ve been compared to Sally from “When Harry Met Sally.”

Think: “Waiter, I’ll begin with a house salad, but I don’t want the regular dressing. I’ll have the balsamic vinegar and oil, but on the side. And then the salmon with the mustard sauce, but I want the mustard sauce on the side. ‘On the side’ is a very big thing for you.”

Yes, I can be totally picky when it comes to my site because I do feel like it’s my online home. And she was very receptive to this and wanted me to be “tickled pink” with the results.

2. A lot of bloggers are reluctant to work with designers because they are afraid to say if something doesn’t look quite right in the mock up. If this ever happened, Cathy was amazing! She thanked me for my thoughtful responses and continued to work on my vision for the blog. For bloggers, especially women bloggers who don’t want to hurt any one’s feelings, THIS IS HUGE!!

3. Her rates are ridiculously fare. You can contact her directly for a quote, but they were some of the best I could find for high-quality work.

These days, every one thinks they are a blog designer…But she’s the real deal.

4. Cathy is so much fun to work with!! I loved getting to know her through this process, and she made it a ton of fun!
