I have so enjoyed reading Friday Fails on other blogs, but this is my first Friday Fail. It’s pretty much a week round-up of my missteps. I’ll begin with the worst ones!
1. Several weeks ago I decided to give up sweets or desserts until Easter. This has given me plenty of time to look at a food item and redetermine if it’s really a sweet. Let me explain. While at the deli on Monday, I determined that I should buy some biscotti because it would be a nice alternative for sweets. You don’t have biscotti for dessert, you have it with coffee, right? Well, when I arrived home it became clear to me that the biscotti was dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with toffee. Yet my earlier claim remains, I wouldn’t have it for dessert, so it’s okay. I know, I know, Homer Simpson logic!
2. Since my husband is deployed, and I am the only one watching our child, I have been tired. So tired in fact, that each day this week, I have gotten dangerously close to the caffeine limit that is acceptable for pregnant women. I’m actually sipping half decaf coffee right now:) Not good.
3. My maternity jeans are getting very close to not fitting. Just think about that for a second. NOT GOOD!!!
This was fun! What are some of your “fails” from the week? Share, it’s really pretty fun!

Enjoyed reading your fails! I really should lay off sweets too…so hard though!
I’m Myra’s sister and Mandy’s (@pennyblessings) cousin. I love your blog!!
Hi Kelly! Well you just have the sweetest family! Mandy and Myra are wonderful! Were you at Blissdom, too? Thanks so much for stopping by!
Amy
Isn’t it funny how our brains can justify something like biscotti?
Personally I WOULDN’T eat it as a dessert, because well let’s face it, biscotti is rock hard… but with coffee? Yumm… I’d fail too!
Thanks so much Dawn! In the absence of dessert, I can justify pretty much anything:)
Girl, I’m not pregnant and I get tired. I can just imagine how you feel. Go on and drink your caffeine, as long as you and the baby are okay,
Dropping by from Myra’s blog, glad you joined us for Friday Fails

Florence,
Thank you for your comment! I am staying under the 300 mg per day which my doctor said was fine. But just barely!! I should have mentioned that Jackson is getting his 1 year molars and isn’t sleeping very well:)
On my way to check out your Friday Fail!
Thanks!
Amy
LOL, the same applies to chocolate covered croissants!
Cheryl,
You know, I haven’t been to the store this week, so that might have to be on my list;)
Amy
I laughed about what you said about being dangerously close to the pregnancy caffeine limit. I think your older child and the one you’re pregnant with is about the same age difference as my older two, and I well remember the exhaustion that comes with it! Love your blog!
Thanks so much, Jessica, for your comment! I may be writing you for more advice once the next one comes along and I’m waking up every two hours:)
You are pregnant, you are beautiful!
Amy, you are so funny!
Guess our weekly Starbucks trip might not fit into your “no sweets” plan; huh?! Lol
