You probably already have thought to do this...but when I leave Evan for a few days, I love to leave Skittles or mint ice cream or some sort of treat in addition to a card. I know he appreciates all the orderly stuff like groceries, clean clothes, etc...but it's fun leaving him something special to remind him I will miss him. =) Just a thought!!
