In just a couple days, I am flying to Nashville for my first blogging conference, Blissdom! My plans have changed a little since I wrote about this last, and now I’m just flying by myself and leaving Jackson and dad to fend for themselves:) The little man is staying with a dear friend during the day while dad is at work. It’s so exciting that they will have this great bonding time while mom is gone!
It is my first time I’ve been away from Jackson since his birth. This may be tough on me. This may sound silly, but I actually get excited when he wakes up in the middle of the night because I can see his sweet face. You can imagine the appreciation for my family I will feel after being away for four days. It has also been recorded that I will be away on his first birthday, but I am feeling much better knowing he’ll be with dad.
My mom and sister both seem to think I am in desperate need of a break! If they are right, it will be good to recharge my batteries with so many lovely bloggers and friends for a few days.
To prepare for my trip, I have or plan to:
1. Organized my clothes/needs for my trip.
2. Create a document of feeding/sleeping schedule for Jackson.
3. Notify a couple friends that John could call if he had a problem.
4. Wash clothes and prepare daily bags of clothes and food for Jackson.
5. Create a contact list with emergency numbers.
6.Leave some food in the house for the hubs (knowing pizza delivery man will probably know our credit card number by the time I return;)
Can you think of anything I am missing? This new mama wants to leave knowing everything has been handled from my end. If you have any suggestions to make this a more peaceful, easy experience for the hubs–let me know:)

Have a great time! I am sure it will be a blast!
It sounds like everything is in order for your trip. I hope you have fun and get to meet lots of people while your there. Enjoy your time away. Can’t wait to read all about it when you post about it
Sounds so exciting – I can’t wait to hear all about it! You probably already have thought to do this…but when I leave Evan for a few days, I love to leave Skittles or mint ice cream or some sort of treat in addition to a card. I know he appreciates all the orderly stuff like groceries, clean clothes, etc…but it’s fun leaving him something special to remind him I will miss him. =) Just a thought!!
