Once there was a very happy baby,
who spent the first year of life just loving on his mom.
But just as he was about to turn 1, he grew very serious…
Sometimes, maybe even annoyed
So his mom brought in reinforcements, two sweet girls to help cheer him up.
But he was still serious. So his mom had a birthday party and Skyped Grandpa to cheer him up.
She even tried to fill him up with cake.
But he was still serious. So she tried a sweet kiss.
So the once sublime baby apparently has a lot on his mind these days. And giggling with his parents wasn’t on the menu–not even on Valentine’s Day!
And for this, his canine companion wanted to take matters into her own hands.
So just when her parents were putting the baby to sleep, she devoured the cake to show them how grateful she was!
The parents got a good laugh and spent the rest of the night wondering if Mr. Serious will always be so serious or if one day the happy, happy baby will return.
To be continued…

Oh Amy! I can’t help but laugh that the dog ate quite a bit of cake! I hope she didn’t throw it up in the house. When my oldest turned 1, he had a full blown case of Roseola and was covered in spots. He was very serious indeed!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Serious!!
Yes, we were cracking up when we came downstairs and the cake had been eaten and icing was in her whiskers! What a total sneak!!
