The talented and compelling Kevin Carroll (literally) kicked off the Blissdom conference with a red rubber ball and a story that brought most attendees to tears. He challenged us to consider this question: “What is your red rubber ball?” More specifically—what is your inspiration? Your passion?
Passion.
A word that was repeated from deal bloggers, fashionista writers, foodies, green and memoir writers—by allowing your passion to drive your blog, and business endeavors, you will find success. People will inevitably be drawn to your passion.
This idea has hatched in my mind, my heart and won’t let go. This may mean some changes for my writing in the future, but I am still working out my ideas right now.
Being in the same hotel as so many women full of passion and talent was a huge treat! I had the chance to meet writers I have been following for a long time and meet awesome bloggers that I will be following in the future.
Let my photos tell you some of the story:
At the conference sessions:
Just hanging out with my roomie.
Rachel and I are waiting to see Harry Connick Jr.
Gussy, Jenny and Mandy were so fun!
Chatting it up with one of my blogging mentors, Steph.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Alli, Barbara and Paula!!!
There were so many bloggers that made an impression on me. Too many to list. I’ll just say that this conference was worth every penny and even the time away from family. It gave me a chance to step outside the day-to-day to evaluate my passion and how my blog can be used for it.
Thank you so much for your patience while I was away. It was a terrific trip, and it’s good to be home with my guys and my blog.

What a great conference
I hope I can go next year!
Thanks Julie! I will definitely be there and hope to meet you in person!
Did you see the Nester? She’s one of my most FAVORITE bloggers…and she was there! She’s like a celebrity to me! I’m glad you had fun…we had fun too
Hi Kristi!
I did see the Nester! She is even prettier in person. I didn’t actually meet her, but she was on a panel about niche blogging and she was awesome. I did meet some of my favorite personal “celebrity” bloggers and even teared up on one occassion! But, I figured it would be a long time (because of the next baby) that I would have the chance to meet these lovely ladies in person. Can’t wait to see your girls!! Oh the fun we will have!!
Amy
Amy,
It looks like you had such a fun time! I’m jealous, I guess I better work extra hard to convince the husband to let me go next year. Of course that is if I can keep up with blogging and expand on mine before then!
So glad you had a great time! Can’t wait to hear more about it. I was thinking of you this weekend and hoping that everything was going well
You’re right….it was amazing to be in a place fill with so many passionate women!
Looks like you had an amazing time! Glad I discovered your blog through some blog hopping.
It was so awesome!
So glad we got to spend a few days together too! Looking forward to seeing how we all incorporate what we learned!!
I am so bummed we never got to meet up. I kept seeing the people that you are in the pictures with, so somehow, we must have walked by each other a million times! Next year, right?!
Great recap. It truly was a great time!
Thanks so much for linking up – so sorry it’s taken me so long to get by to read it!
