Although I prefer the warmer months of the year, it is generally pretty easy for me to embrace all seasons, even the cold months. For me–it’s all about the next holiday. You start with Christmas, then Valentine’s Day (which I LOVE!), St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, then you’re on your way to Derby Day. By then you’re home free!! (My husband says he has never known another person who loves holidays this much.)
This year has been a little different. Having a baby in the cold, no matter what holiday is around the corner, is a little tough. On cold days, we might get out once for me to workout or go shopping, but we typically stay in because it’s just easier. We don’t go for walks, we’re less likely to go to playgroups, and stuffing a winter-coat-wearing baby into a car seat is not my idea of a good time.
Baaaaaaahh! (Okay, that’s totally off my chest!)
But the past couple days have been A-MAZ-ING!! Sunny and Sixty-Something Degrees!! Jackson and I went for a two hour walk today because the sun was energizing my spirits.
My husband has been saying for years that he is “solar powered” and he may just be onto something!! Florida sounds really nice this time of year! How about you–how do you weather the cold months?

Quick update for goals and resolutions for 2010: We found a church!!! It’s awesome and we just love it! They also offer a woman’s Bible study group (with childcare) and we will be meeting at a house on my street! No kidding! The Children’s Minister lives a few houses down and is offering a Bible student for military spouses. Prayer answered!
