Must Haves–Black Boots with a Twist

This year, I’ve had A LOT of questions about what kind of boots to buy for the season.  Yep, you heard me, I have just a couple pairs of shoes that I like to wear for the majority of a season.  Actually, I’m the same way with purses, too.  For some reason, I am just not a “splurgy shopper.”

So this year, I’m wondering…

“Should I go with a traditional boot or a riding boot?”

“Should I go with something trendy or traditional?”

And finally…

“Should I wear these on the outside of my pants, like everyone else, or on the inside like I’ve done for years?”

With questions looming, I went to Macy’s to pick out a pair to solve these dilemmas.  I kept going towards the black boot with a heel and rounded toe.  Here’s the problem: I have an 11 month old (and I’m pregnant), so I am bending over, picking him up, and carrying him quite a bit.  This just doesn’t work with heels.  So I gave the sales lady a pair that I liked, and asked if she had something else that would better suit my needs.  And here’s what she brought me:

And the professional pic:

They are the Bandolino Quwela 3 boots, with a 2″ wedge and 1/2″ platform.  Perfect for moms!!  When you want just a little boost, but you still want to feel your feet at the end of the day–they are a terrific choice.  I paid around $75, but I used a $25 gift card that I won from Mommy Niri’s site a few months ago.  What a bargain!!

So let’s just say, I’ve answered some of the questions, but the jury is still out on the boots over jeans question.  What are your thoughts about this?  Tired of the trend or excited it’s still around? Share!
